Job Description

Longterm substitute position.

Job Description:

Provide services to students who are deaf and hard of hearing who require services in their IEPs within general eucation and/or special education settings.

Obtain information on each student through observations informal testing and medical updates from the students physician.

Work with the child study team to diagnose and evaluate the student.

Develop goals and objectives for each student.

Consult with the students teachers other involved staff and parents to plan an appropriate program.

Meet with the students parents to share information.

Supplement and reinforce classroom teaching.

Obtain and prepare materials and equipment to allow student access to the curriculum.

Share information concerning community and state agencies and resources available to the student.

Help the student increase independent functioning skills within the school and community.

Requirements: Illinois State license with LBS1 and Special Education endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
