OVERVIEW

Vertex is seeking an Intermediate Contracts Administrator to join our team in Conroe Texas. The successful candidate will be detailoriented a strong communicator and capable of managing contracts efficiently. Reporting to the VP Consulting Services this role involves contract drafting review compliance management and collaboration with internal teams to ensure smooth contract .

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft review and negotiate Master Services Agreements (MSAs) Consulting Services Agreements (CSAs) and other contracts.
  • Maintain and update contract databases ensuring proper documentation and accessibility.
  • Monitor contract performance expiry dates amendments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist project managers in understanding contract terms and conditions.
  • Ensure commercial compensation tables and rate schedules are updated as needed.
  • Conduct first invoice reviews for new clients to align with contract terms before submission.
  • Engage in contract negotiations with clients vendors and other stakeholders.
  • Review contract terms for risk exposure and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all contract administration activities align with company policies and legal requirements
  • Review of commercial terms related to proposals being submitted by the company
  • Provide reporting and updates to senior management regarding contract status and compliance and any issues that arise.
  • Support procurement strategy by assisting with data collection market analysis and business requirements.
  • Liaise with internal departments including finance procurement and operations to facilitate contract .
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contract processes and administrative efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Business Administration Business Law Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in contract administration management or legalrelated positions preferably in an EPC/EPCM environment.
  • Strong understanding of contract law procurement and risk management.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and contract management software.
  • Excellent negotiation communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Experience with data analytics and ability to interpret internal and external business data.
  • Experience with contract management software (e.g. SAP Ariba DocuSign or other contract lifecycle management tools) would be an asset.
  • Familiarity with Federal state local laws Contract Law Tort Law and industry standards is preferred.
  • Certification in contract management (e.g. NCMA CPCM CFCM) is an asset.
