Job Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing highquality dishes in accordance with restaurant standards. This role requires attention to detail efficiency and adherence to food safety guidelines while working in a fastpaced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean organized and stocked workstation.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure consistent portioning plating and presentation of dishes.
- Assist with prep work and ingredient stocking as needed.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service.
- Handle and store ingredients properly to prevent waste.
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries.
- Communicate with team members and leadership to ensure efficient operations.
- Follow instructions from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef regarding food preparation and kitchen policies.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar kitchen role preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a highvolume environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- ServSafe certification or equivalent is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift).
- Frequent lifting pushing or pulling of up to 50 lbs (e.g. food trays boxes equipment).
- Ability to bend stoop and reach overhead.
- Repetitive hand and arm movements (e.g. chopping stirring plating).
- Exposure to heat open flames cold storage and wet/slippery surfaces.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced highstress environment.
- Good handeye coordination and ability to handle sharp objects safely.
