Job Summary
The Concessions Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling food and beverage sales maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the smooth operation of the concession stand. This role involves interacting with customers preparing and serving food and drinks managing cash transactions and upholding health and safety standards.
Job Duties
- Provide excellent customer service to customers.
- Prepare and serve food and beverage items.
- Process transactions using a cash register/pointofsale (POS) system and maintain accurate records of sales to ensure all transactions are recorded properly.
- Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area including counters floors and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and report any operational issues to supervisors.
- Set up the concession stand before opening including arranging merchandise and ensuring equipment is operational.
Required Requirements
- Ability to handle cash and perform basic math.
- Flexibility to work weekdays weeknights weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Previous experience in food service or customer service roles.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation practices.
Other Information
- This is not a KPERS covered position.
- Staff will be required to attend inservice training.
