Health Information Management Technician for Inpatient Rehab Hospitals
Full Time / OnSite
Shifts Available:
Shift #1: MonThur 9am4pm Fri 8am12pm & Sat 8am12pm
Shift #2: MonFri 10am6pm
Shift #3: MonFri 11am7pm
Shift #4: MonFri 9:30am5:30pm
Starts at $18/hr based on experience

Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance of accurate electronic records to meet the requirements for licensure and certification
- Record processing and physician record completion
- Scanning and filing transcribed reports and other documentation
- Document and data storage and retrieval
- Releaseof confidential information
- Maintaining confidential medical records
- Record review and data collection
- Communicate with hospital administrative staff nurses physicians and hospital leadership
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience working in the healthcare industry
- At least one year working in a customer service related field
- Detail oriented
- Resourceful problem solver
Preferred Qualifications
- Health information management experience
- Experience with release of information (ROI) and HIPPA
- Knowledge of HIPAA and Joint Commission standards
- Experience managing patient health records
- Familiarity and ability to work around different time zones within the U.S.
- Ability to be professionally assertive when communicating with hospital administrative staff nurses physicians and hospital leadership
