Job Description
Position Title: Staff Accountant (Temp)
Studio/Department: Daybreak Games / Accounting / Finance
Employee Type:Full Time Temporary
Location: San Diego CA Hybrid
Salary Range:$28.00/hr $35.00/hr

Summary of Job:
- Participate in monthend close by reconciling balance sheet accounts (cash fixed assets A/R)
- Record daily journal activity related to cash and AR
- Prepare daily cash/receivable journal entries and perform subsequent account analysis
- Assist with fixed asset accounting (additions disposals depreciation and rollforward)
- Prepare sales and VAT tax returns
- Compile documentation for external auditors
- Follow established and evolving procedures and make recommendations to improve processes as needed
- Maintain electronic filing systems to foster organization and efficient workflow
- Perform special projects and related duties as required
- Crosstrain in various areas of the accounting department
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Accounting
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables V lookups etc)
- Microsoft Dyamics GP experience a strong plus
- Strong knowledge of accounting terminology and practices
- Ability to compare data from a variety of sources for accuracy and completeness
- A natural curiosity to learn apply accounting guidelines and make informed decisions
- Able to work independently as well as in a group setting
- Welldeveloped communication skills both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization
