As a vibrant Continuing Care Retirement Community we know everyone ages differently. The need for care can vary from a simple helping hand with maintenance and home repairs to serious health conditions that require around the clock skilled care. We are truly experts in all levels of senior care and have the full continuum of care on our lush wooded campus.
Our subacute floor is a fiftynine bed Medicare unit that has residents with multiple clinical issues including CHF dehydration cellulites diabetes DVT and stable cardiac related issues needing monitoring. Nurses work closely with a variety of health care professionals including doctors social work dieticians PT/OT hospice and spiritual support. Our subacute unit offers a wellrounded opportunity for learning professional growth and personal satisfaction.
Our Chronic Care floor is a sixty bed Medicare/Rehabilitation and longterm care unit and is a wonderful place to learn basic medsurg I.V. therapy & wound treatments nursing skills. Nurses on this unit along with host of healthcare professionals work to provide and implement the best treatment plan for residents. This fast paced and busy unit provide a great atmosphere for PT/OT residents to be motivated and reach their goals.
Our Memory Care floor is a sixty bed Medicare/Medicaid/Dementia unit. We provide care to residents with a variety of diagnoses. The dementia care is where we create a fullness of life through the joy of relationships the art of caring and the spirit of living. This unit also collaborates closely with a multidisciplinary team meets and discusses the residents plan of care.
Scope of work
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment diagnosis outcomes identification planning implementation and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice culturally congruent practice communication collaboration leadership education evidencebased practice and research quality of practice professional practice evaluation resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
