The Role
Our Technology team is growing! Were looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Back End Engineer to help scale our technology platform and support our ambitious business growth.
In this role you will be responsible for designing developing and optimising the backend systems that power our web applications. You will collaborate closely with frontend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and create highperformance scalable solutions.
This role is ideal for an experienced backend developer who can lead projects solve complex challenges and contribute to the overall architecture and efficiency of our platform. Youll be expected to maintain high code quality standards mentor junior developers and stay uptodate with emerging trends in backend development.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain robust scalable and highperformance backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices ensuring security efficiency and maintainability.
Collaborate with frontend developers to provide seamless integration between backend and frontend components.
Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure consistency and adherence to coding standards.
Monitor and enhance system performance using tools such as Datadog.
Contribute to the CI/CD pipeline integrating automated testing and ensuring smooth deployments using tools like Jenkins CircleCI or GitLab CI.
Work with DevOps to manage containerised environments using Docker.
About You:
Extensive experience with Node.js Express.js and backend development best practices.
Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
Proficiency in working with both SQL (PostgreSQL MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices including automated testing and deployment strategies.
Familiarity with monitoring and performance optimisation tools such as Datadog.

Have excellent written and verbal English skills
