Job Description
This position could be located in Reston Herndon Mclean or Chantilly VA
Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seekingSoftware Developer/ Engineerswith various levels of experience (JuniorSeniorand SME Levelsto join ourteamprovidingSponsor supportwith thedevelopment for avarietyof toolsapplications and initiativesfocused on streamlining operations automating processes and aligning customer solutions to the overarching architecture. The ideal candidatespromote stateoftheart IT solutions collaborating with IT mission partners to share technology and lessons learnedwhile ensuringrecords management processes and requirements are included in the early design stages of IT solutions across the Intelligence Community. Additionallycandidateswill work in concert with customer technical interfaces ensuring future technologyplansarealignedwithSponsorarchitecture.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and maintain highquality software solutions that meet project requirements and industry standards
- Write clean efficient and welldocumented code in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java Python C JavaScript)
- Analyze and troubleshoot software defects performance issues and technical challenges
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product managers designers and fellow engineers to deliver software projects on time and within scope
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies including unit tests and integration tests to ensure software reliability
- Create and maintain technical documentation including code comments system architecture diagrams and user manuals
- Use version control systems (e.g. Git) to manage source code and collaborate effectively with team members
- Participate in Agile or Scrum development processes including sprint planning daily standups and retrospectives
- Stay uptodate with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices to continually enhance your skills and contribute to the teams success
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- Bachelors degree in computer science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3 20years ofrelatedprofessional experience
- Current onemerging technologies and industry trends incorporating best practices into development processes
- Using requirements trackingtools(JIRA or Confluence)
- Working with version control systems(Git)4
- Decomposing concepts to discrete development tasks and managing your work to a deadline
