Job Description

First of its kind role

This role is the first of its kind and it expected to play a pivotal role in shaping and growing the role and team. It requires presence in our Berlin office.

What we do

We build software that helps companies along the food system get to Net Zero.

31 of global GHG emissions originate from foodrelated activities. For the first time in history climate performance has become an overall business performance indicator. Enterprises are mandated by regulatory bodies to disclose their climate performance which leads to increasing pressure from investors competitors retailers and consumers to prevent and reduce their CO2e emissions. Over the next 10 years companies have set ambitious reduction targets that need to be met. Enterprise software and new business processes can help.

We raised >10m in funding in the first 2 years of our existence we launched our enterprise product signed and onboarded some of the largest F&B players in Europe and put together what we believe is the bestsuited early stage tech team in Europe. Will you be the next to join us

What you will work on

Your mission

Become the trusted climate advisor for our (future) enterprise customers ensuring retention codeveloping new value propositions and growing ARR.

Over the next 12 months you will:

  1. Grow annual contract values of existing enterprise customers

    • Translate our impact into tangible business value for economic buyers.

    • Lead renewal negotiations and drive upsell opportunities with existing customers.

    • Expand our reach within global enterprises by unlocking new regions teams and decisionmakers.

  2. Support customers progress along their climate journey

    • Act as a trusted advisor providing guidance on any sustainability challenge.

    • Build thought leadership and community engagement hosting events that bring together sustainability leaders across the industry.

    • Represent Root Global in the food & agriculture sustainability ecosystem developing a strong network of advocates.

  3. Partner with new enterprise customers across Europe

    • Own and execute tailored sales cycles with some of the largest F&B multinationals.

    • Develop and run custom POCs and pilot projects proving our value to sustainability leaders.

    • Collaborate with the product team to identify opportunities for innovation ensuring our roadmap aligns with enterprise needs

You might be really good for this role if

  • You were responsible for closing or up/crossselling customers in a B2B Saas commpany in the past.

  • You have strong business acumen and enjoy the thrill of growing revenues.

  • You feel comfortable representing our company in industry associations roundtable and at conferences.

  • You were part of the first 50 employees at an early stage technology company.

  • You are highly reliable and can organise your work really well.
