Recreation Aide
With direct supervision provide supportive services to senior clients at the center. Encourage seniors to participate in the various activities that are provided each day. Support meal preparation and serving activities. Bring creativity to the role with ideas for new ways to engage seniors to enhance physical cognitive emotional and spiritual challenges. Will need a can do whatever it takes to get the job done attitude. Will work with a team of dedicated staff who are motivated to make our program a place seniors look forward to coming to each day!
Responsibilities:
- Under direction ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission vision and values of Catholic Charities Diocese of Cleveland.
- Act as an advocate for clients.
- Act as a positive role model for our clients.
- Coordinate recreational programs as as needed.
- Escort clients on trips.
- Cofacilitate group sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of six months related work experience is required; a GED or High School is preferred some college coursework is preferred.
- Valid Ohio Drivers License with no greater than four 4 points preferred.
- Must have good oral written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check.
