Job Description

This position is based out of our corporate office in Greenville SC.The Staff Accountant I perform a wide variety of accounting functions including establishing and maintaining accounting records for a combination of general accounting and cost systems. Duties include a wide range of exposure to payroll taxes sales commission statements import duty computations inventory observations and paperwork systems.
Crew Position:
- Perform month end closing including account analysis and journal entries of retail wholesale manufacturing and distribution for specific operating groups or business units as assigned.
- Analyze variances and trends on financial statements.
- Prepare account reconciliation including inventory prepaids and accruals.
- Receive and reconcile incoming inventory receipts.
- Process miscellaneous accounts payable transactions.
- Handle accounts receivable duties at the brand level working closely with Oxford Credit department (i.e. chargeback and account research).
- Communicate with Oxford controllership team on accounting issues.
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets for account analysis and reconciliation.
- Monitor Credit Card activity and process monthly accruals and payments.

Know the ropes...
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1 years accounting or related experience.
- Computer literate on an intermediate level in Microsoft suite of products Word Outlook Excel PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
