How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
Carrier Gas Operations provides onsite air separation units producing nitrogen and oxygen gas production with bestinclass safety reliability flexibility and total cost of operation to our semiconductor manufacturing customers. Also supplying cost effective high purity bulk gas.
The Plant Engineer will work in a team environment to safely operate and troubleshoot Nitrogen and Oxygen production plants which supply an onsite semiconductor manufacturer. The Plant Engineer will help the team achieve the goal of over 99 plant uptime for our continuous production process.
Provide operational and technical support to the plant technicians.
Perform activities to improve the reliability and efficiency of plant operations.
Coordinate and supervise project implementation control project costs monitor progress and quality of the projects.
Maintain positive customer relations to ensure continued satisfaction. Work closely with the customer on all gas supply issues attend meetings and participate in improvement teams.
Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
Participate in the use of the computerized maintenance management system.
Coordinate plant shutdowns including coordination of plant personnel tasks hiring contractors and ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are obtained.
Perform job functions to always ensure on time in spec delivery of gases to the customer.
Perform job functions in a manner that meets or exceeds the companys HS&E standards.
Train production technicians and engineers on all aspects of plant operations.
Manage the Gas Production Facility during any absence of the facility manager.
Provides tracking from planning to commissioning to and followup. Ensure management of change processes (MOC) and documentation control is properly executed. Maintains KODDs.
Quality / Safety : Helps define and implement recommendations and procedures. Assists management with operational activities procedures and training/qualification audits risk management inspection processes data evaluation and presentation. Works to improve safety and quality. Detects potentially risky situations and implements the necessary corrective actions. Makes sure that regulatory requirements and deadlines are met. Maintains security and cleanliness of plant site.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree in engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred)
5 years of plant operations and/or plant startup experience
Project management experience
Familiarity with Google workspace
Strong technical expertise
Able to manage multiple concurrent tasks
Able to work in a team environment
Cooperative and able to obtain the cooperation of others
Willing to travel
Flexible
Good communication skills
Strong emphasis on safety and safety leadership
Strong oral and written communication and organization skills
Must be willing to be oncall rotation schedule
Must be willing to support 5S
Experience with Management of Change requirements
Approximately 25Travel to other customer sites as required
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to wear required PPE safety equipment including hardhat safety glasses safety shoes/boots and FRC clothing
Full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs.
Able to climb ladders work off elevated platforms/surfaces
Able to work in nonconditioned environment for extended periods
Able to enter confined spaces for inspection testing and work
The pay range for this position in Texas is $120000$130000
