The position of Student Stage Crew Tech is available to high school students. These students are to work no more than 10 hours per week while school is in session. The primary purpose of the position is to support the Stage Crew Advisor with drama dance music and additional high school group events. Students may receive compensation for duties assigned beyond the scope of events sponsored by the students home high school such as events sponsored by the Board of Education school community or the feeder system. Students may assist with load in and out lighting sound stage management and house management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Student Stage Crew Tech will:
1. Setup installation and operation of requirements on stage and in the theatre space during a workshift or event such as but not limited to hanging and focusing of lights laying dance marley setting up microphones setting up and running projectors and laptops moving/arranging chairs
2. Cleaning the stage and auditorium spaces (house/lobby) at the beginning of a workshift or event.
3. The restoration of the stage and auditorium spaces (house/lobby) at the end of a workshift or event.
4. Maintaining and organizing auditorium and theatrical equipment.
5. Being present throughout the entire duration of specific events scheduled for technical support.
6. Attending production meetings as needed.
7. Performing other duties as assigned.

Education
Current enrollment at the high school of the event must be invited by the current Stage Crew Advisor and have training on auditorium equipment and must have a completed safety form on file with current high school of enrollment.
Experience
Previous experience working in a theatre setting desired but not required.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Must be able to operate theatrical equipment including but not limited to lights sound projectors and stage curtains.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to multitask and operate under stress.
Must be able to exercise initiative courtesy and good judgement in dealing with students parents administrators other employees and the general public.

Physical Requirements
This position requires significant climbing stooping kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing lifting grasping and repetitive motions.
