Job Description

Proctor Elementary school is seeking a music teacher for grade level music classes and instrumental/band instruction beginning theschool year..Responsibilities and Expectations include:Demonstrate knowledge and practical understanding of music standards and curriculum content.Ability to plan and assess instruction effectively.Monitor students understanding of the curriculum effectively and adjust instruction materials or assessments when appropriate.Provide instrumental lessons in brass percussion and wind instruments.Create an environment that is positive for student learning and involvement.Maintain appropriate standards of behavior mutual respect and safety.Evaluate try innovative approaches and refine instructional strategies including the effective use of technologies to increase student learning and confidence in ability to learn.Communicate learning goals high standards and expectations to students.Promote confidence and perseverance with the student that stimulates increased personal student responsibility for achieving the goals of the curriculum.Work cooperatively with colleagues administrators and other school personnel.Strong classroom management skills and experience with implementation of PBIS.
