Position Overview
We are seeking a Network Engineer who will be responsible for transport network design and engineering network routing protocols and advanced virtual networking technologies in a timely and effective manner.
Responsibilities
The Network Engineering Team plays a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of the client environment.This individual will be responsible for one or more of the following:
- Performing upgrades and performing routine network operations and maintenance (O&M).
- Identifying and implementing INFOSEC and COMSEC security requirements for the network.
- Complex configuration management techniques and requirements for managing network systems
- Network operating and maintenance concepts and methods used to troubleshoot network problems for LAN WAN VPN SDWAN and VoIP
- Cisco IOS including switching routing segment routing and other technologies
- Radio Frequency (RF) and spectrum engineering
- Optical networking technology and engineering
- Satellite communications engineering
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required #qinetiqclearedjob
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related field.
- Experience in network/cloud/virtual environment engineering or a related role.
- Solid understanding of network protocols operating systems and security technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are preferred.
