GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
The individual in this position is responsible for performing intermediate technical and clerical work in a fastpaced environment involving organizing developing executing and monitoring strategic recruitment opportunities to maintain a pool of qualified professionals. Summer work is required.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions:
- Serves as the central pointofcontact for applicants and prospective staff.
- Assists with analyzing hiring retention and termination trend data to identify future hiring needs in order to develop and implement a recruitment strategy meeting school needs.
- Establishes and maintains strong positive working relationships with hiring managers community partners colleges and universities.
- Develops implements and manages recruitment data collection systems.
- Provides training and support to hiring managers and candidates on applicant tracking systems.
- Assists with both short and longrange planning and implementation for the improvement of the recruitment and retention strategic plan and processes.
- Utilizes human resources technology and information systems.
- Establishes outreach and communication protocols and procedures to engage new teachers and other staff.
- Utilizes social media and other virtual mediums as part of a recruitment plan.
- Organizes coordinates and manages all internal and external job fairs and recruitment opportunities.
- Conducts prescreening interviews and establishes initial contact with candidates at recruitment events.
- Develops wellness programs and initiatives to support retention.
- Collaborates with the curriculum department for student placement including background checks.
- Develops supporting materials to communicate the employment brand.
- Designs materials and videos to include recruitment marketing materials recognition programs visual presentations training videos and other materials as needed.
- Promotes and manages various programs supporting alternative routes to licensure.
Additional Duties:
- Performs other related work as required.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Bachelors degree in human resources or related field preferred. A minimum of three to five years of proven experience as a recruiter or human resources experience preferred. Extensive experience with establishing and maintaining relationships with outside and partner organizations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS REQUIRED
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources.
- Knowledge of human resources information systems knowledge of employee benefits.
- Knowledge of licensure requirements.
- Knowledge of business practices applicable to confidentiality and HIPAA.
- Skill in effective communication both verbally and in writing.
- Skill in the use of computers for data entry word processing and/or accounting purposes.
- Ability to plan and manage own work.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with applicants community partners school officials employees and the general public.

The work is light work which requires exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Work is performed while standing sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending squatting crawling climbing reaching. Additionally the following physical abilities are required:
- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Pushing or Pulling: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force in order to thrust forward downward or outward. Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
- Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
- Handling: Picking holding or otherwise working primarily with the whole hand.
- Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects such as size shape temperature or texture by touching with skin particularly that of fingertips.
- Manual Dexterity: Picking pinching typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.
- Repetitive Motion: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist hands and/or fingers.
Special Requirements:
Ability to work extended hours including evening/weekend meetings and recruitment events during recruitment and hiring season.
Work Environment:
The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
