Goldbelt Incorporated is an urban Alaska Native forprofit corporation with offices in Juneau Alaska and Herndon Virginia. Its primary purpose is to manage assets and conduct business for the benefit of its 3900 Alaska Native shareholders.

SUMMARY:
Goldbelt Transportation is seeking a Bus Driver. Under the direction of the General Manager. Goldbelt Transportation LLC is responsible for operating a 40 passenger bus providing transportation for Coeur Kensington Mine Workers ensuring passenger safety and satisfaction. This position can be fulltime parttime or intermittent.
Qualifications
NECESSARY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Ability to safely drive a passenger bus in all types of weather road conditions and in darkness
- Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving
- Ability to perform minor maintenance on the bus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle emergency or stressful situations in a calm manner
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to install tire chains
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
- Fortyfoot passenger bus mobile radio telephone and hand tools used in the maintenance of vehicles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- At least 19 years of age and have held a drivers license for at least one year;
- Current Commercial Drivers License (CDL) (Class B) with passenger and air brake endorsements;
- Possess a medical certificate for CDL drivers;
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug test
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPR Certification

Starting Pay: $25.00

Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES:
- Complies at all times with safety and traffic regulations and requirements while driving the bus.
- Assists with loading and unloading of passengers and freight.
- Performs safety checks on vehicle Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of vehicle including cleaning window washing lubrication oil and tire pressure checks and minor mechanical repairs.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
