Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all work is completed expertly and meets quality standards
  • Communicate effectively with other shifts to run workflow efficiently
  • Keep uptodate on the latest workplace safety and environmental requirements and implement all health and safety policies on the shop floor
  • Maintain and service equipment as needed or according to dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Interview dropoff drivers and document vehicle complaints
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
  • Craft job orders observe and listen to vehicle in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures
  • Testdrive vehicle once service is complete to ensure that they run smoothly
  • Tag all warranty parts and returns to Warranty Clerk
  • Look out for training and factory technical bulletins as they become available
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness
Qualifications
  • 35 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
  • Strong leadership interpersonal math and writing skills
  • Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment
  • One year Fleet or dealership experience
  • Management or customer service experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • ASE and CDL certification preferred
