Job Title:Database Administrator Senior (ONSITE) Location: Washington DC Duration:12 Months
Job Description: The incumbent will support the Client databases. The mission of the client is to enhance the wellbeing of children by assuring the accurate and timely financial and medical support is provided for them.
The Client Database Administrator provides at minimum the following general services related to Microsoft SQL Server databases:
Designs and maintains on premises SQL Server databases and tables
Provide customer support to internal and external customers
Produce system and custom reports upon request using SQL queries
Reviews and prepares technical documentation including data dictionaries definitions systems flow program flows database designs
Oversee enhancements and new feature deployment including the development requirements and testing scripts
Responsible for database problem diagnosis and resolution
Recommends improvements to database systems based on the latest developments within the IT field
Responsibilities:
Plans organizes and implements projects in support of Districts growing information demands.
Ensures the effective use of District resources.
Contributes to policies for effective process planning as it relates to new requirements.
Possesses expert knowledge of the Structured Query Language (SQL) environment with particular emphasis on planning analysis design and implementation of reports and report interfaces intended for the end user.
Participates in shortterm tactical planning implementation.
Contributes to longterm strategic planning.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:
Bachelors degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
