Job Description
EASTCONNs Adult and Community Programs is seeking several part time aides to run activities and provide supervision for elementary aged children at Natchaug Elementary School two afternoons a week during the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and facilitate activities designed for elementaryaged children ensuring they are educational fun and ageappropriate.
- Provide active supervision maintaining a safe and positive environment.
- Assist with setup and cleanup of activities and spaces.
- Foster a respectful and inclusive atmosphere encouraging participation and positive interactions among children.
- Communicate effectively with children staff and parents as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in a group setting such as in a school camp or daycare environment.
- Ability to manage groups of young children safely and positively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience creativity and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
- Availability for two afternoon shifts per week during the school year.
