Gundy County Memorial Hospital
Grundy County Memorial Hospital is a 25bed critical access hospital located in Grundy Center Iowa and is an affiliate of UnityPoint Health Waterloo. The hospital provides essential 24/7/365emergency carealong with inpatient care. The Specialty Clinicoffers a variety of specialties that patients would otherwise have to travel to larger cities for. In June of 2022 the hospital broke ground on a $31 million building project that includes a Surgery and Imaging addition and Lab expansion solidifying the hospitals commitment to providing top notch local health care.
- Hospitalist NP schedule is 7on/7off with 12hour shifts
- 15 12hour shifts per month; 7a7p
- No ICU coverage
- Single Provider coverage allows for high level of autonomy
Responsibilities
- Telehospitalist service overnight
- No night shifts no call no procedures and ER runs codes
- Blocked scheduling
- Average census of 45 patients with 12 admissions per day
- Physician support available via phone
- On Tu We and Th the NP will do rounding and then travel up to 3o minutes to conduct some skilled/longterm care visits
- Excellent work/life balance
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner
- Board Certified
- Experience preferred
- Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States
