Job Description

Senior Account Executive Communications

The Senior Account Executive Communications at OutCast plays a key role in helping to manage daily account activity including building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and media. To succeed in this role individuals should have a leadership mindset with the ability to oversee and mentor junior members of the team in addition to driving client activity forward ensuring consistency and accuracy.

What Youll Do:

Execute strategic programs projects and initiatives that advance clients communications

objectives providing counsel to help direct junior staff

Support team leads to manage client relationship providing day to day client support; ensure all

deadlines and client expectations are met

Write and review content and media materials including presentations plans and pitches;

review and provide feedback on draft work from junior team members

Assist with media strategy development keeping a pulse on industry and competitor news to develop proactive pitch angles

Identify and secure media opportunities for clients through a strong awareness of the media landscape and client goals

Develop and maintain relationships with reporters event organizers and industry peers

Attend and staff conferences interviews and other opportunities that arise

Oversee and proactively mentor junior team members with a focus on growth and development; Provide timely and constructive feedback to teammates as needed

Support team leads with budget oversight as needed

Assist with onboarding new team members

Conduct media training and prep with clients as well client positioning and message/narrative development as needed

Actively participate in new business for the agency through support on proposal and pitch research

Represent agency and/or clients at key industry events

What Youll Need:

  • B.S. in Communications or related advanced degree preferred
  • 3 years of public relations media relations corporate communications experience (can be combined)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience supervising individuals and project management
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Keen interest in media and storytelling
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
