GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Research Assistant will work within the Boston Center for Endometriosis. This position requires spending time in outpatient clinics the operating room and in the laboratory setting. The ideal candidate is able to navigate a fastpaced medical environment discuss sensitive topics about womens health and provide quality patient interactions. Attention to detail good communication skills and ability to work as a team are essential.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Recruit adult participants from the Center for Infertility and Reproductive Surgery Clinic the Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery Clinic and the general Gynecology Clinics at Brigham and Womens Hospital.
2. Recruit pediatric participants from the Adolescent Medicine and Gynecology Clinics at Boston Childrens Hospital.
3. Enroll study participants: perform informed consent conduct study visits and manage data collection technology
4. Contact and followup with participants over email phone and in person 5. Attend surgeries conducted on enrolled participants to gather information and biological samples
6. Process and store biological specimens (blood urine saliva tissue) 7. Manage data and maintain database 8. Prepare & update study documents for the Investigational Review Board (IRB)
