Job Description
High School Diploma Required. Two years of college preferred. Requires verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in collaboration with others. No experience required. One year patient care or related experience preferred preferably in a psychiatric setting.CNA experience also preferred Successful candidate must possess basic computer skills in order to use a variety of electronic systems to access and/or maintain personal employmentrelated data satisfy required annual trainings and use jobspecific applications.

The salary range for this position is $12.50/hour $14.94/hour. Exact salaries are calculated when a job offer is to be made and are based on a candidates experience and qualifications. Employees in this position are eligible for shift differentials. Under direction of the Registered Nurse the MHS provides direct patient care and participates in therapeutic milieu. Successful candidate will provide accurate and timely documentation of AFS progress notes and observation sheets. Establishes therapeutic relationships with patients maintaining professional boundaries. Identifies patient behaviors that contribute to the development of a crisis; utilizes nonverbal and verbal techniques to deescalate crisis situation. Participates in planning and implementation of patient groups. Active milieu assessment while assigned to checks particularly attuned to safety concerns. Assists patients in their activities of daily living
