Job Description
RPOs client is seeking a Drive Technician to repair install and service existing VSDs as well as commission new generalpurpose drive installations. This role is a hybrid position between site and office. Candidates will also need to interpret electrical drawings in faultfinding situations.
Responsibilities:
- Fault find and perform boardlevel repairs on variable speed drives
- Run testing of variable speed drives to simulate faults
- Run testing of variable speed drives after repairs are carried out
- Install and commission variable speed drives
- Keep an accurate timesheet and enter labor hours into the job management system
- Perform fault finding on equipment onsite if required
- Source parts and create quotes that include an estimation of labour
Requirements:
- Proven working experience in an electronic technicians role
- Solid understanding of electrical principles and electronic signals
- Proven ability to fault find using electrical drawings
- Detailoriented and organized
- Handson experience with variable speed drives
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Wellspoken in English
- Customer service driven
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical Electronics
- 10 years of work experience in the electronics field
