Some experience in a research laboratory environment desirable.

Must be able to make independent effective decisions in appropriate situations.
Excellent organizational skills to ensure smooth functioning of the lab.
Must possess aptitude for budget management.
High level of computer literacy.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in a laboratory where there are some physical discomforts due to unpleasant odors fumes and acids; exposure to experiments involving biohazardous materials up to the BL2 level.
GENERAL SUMMARY/OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator(s) has various responsibilities in a research laboratory including grants management both pre and post award. May assist with inventory management regulatory and compliance and appointing and onboarding of new staff.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Assists with the compilation of grant applications to various awarding agencies. Works closely with the PIs as well as with the Divisions Grants Manager and the PreAward Administrator in Research Management to ensure timely submission of applications progress reports and other required documents.
2.Assists with postaward management of grant awards. Works closely with the PIs as well as with the Divisions Grants Manager and the PostAward Administrator in Research Management on postaward issues.
3 conjunction with Investigator(s) and the Divisions Credentialing Coordinator ensures proper appointment onboarding and offboarding procedures are followed for students staff and fellows.
4.Responsible for the coordination of all regulatory and compliance activities for the lab.
5.Orders supplies and equipment. Prepares reimbursement and check requests as needed.
6.All other duties as assigned.
