GA Telesis Landing Gear Services is committed to providing the most comprehensive aircraft maintenance repair overhaul and logistic support services to the commercial rotor and fixedwing aircraft markets. We are seeking an experiencedLanding Gear Technicianto join our awardwinning team with a focus on the building and teardown of various landing gears and components. Reporting to the Landing Gear Manager the ideal candidate will use their experience and knowledge to perform highquality alterations. This is a 2nd shift position.
Responsibilities:
- Complex production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies subassemblies aircraft systems equipment and accessories using manual operations. Follows approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) technical data and work package instructions.
- Utilization of comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
- Thorough knowledge of aircraft structural modification and repair and the ability to determine the functionality of noncomplex electrical systems.
- Operation of unique aircraft tools such as test equipment torque wrenches dial indicators micrometers cable tensiometers sheet metal brakes sheers etc.
- Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to execute complex structures work including but not limited to pull holes match & back drilling fastener removals riveting sleeve bolt drilling and system wire and tube installations.
- Reads and interprets engineering drawings technical orders process specifications and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
- Maintain necessary certifications licenses and permits as required for assigned work.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies.
- Must have a minimum of a high school education or equivalent and 1 to 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience assembling aircraft/aerospace parts components and/or assemblies using applicable drawings specifications quality standards and manufacturing plans.
- Possess the ability to construct install dismantle relocate modify and/or repair OEM equipment of all types.
- Knowledge of wiring schematics on understanding and reading a manual to install components.
