Job Description

Innovation Academy Charter School has an opening for a High School Student Services inclusion aide/paraprofessional for the 2025/2026 school year. Situated in Tyngsboro MA (near the intersection of routes 3 and 495 IACS draws a diverse student body from neighboring districts including Lowell Dracut and Chelmsford as well as Tyngsboro. We have a strong mentoring program for staff new to the schools. We welcome candidates who are committed to their own professional learning open to feedback and committed to collaboration. IACS is working hard to hire staff that represent the backgrounds and cultures of all of our students. Please note that the school has access to state grant funding designed to encourage diversity among our new hires with funds for relocation loan repayment and tuition assistance. We strongly encourage candidates to celebrate their diversity and to inquire about the grantfunded programs.JOB SUMMARYInclusion aides have an important role in the success of students requiring additional support in the classroom. While the aides first priority is to provide support to students with IEPs all students in the classroom can benefit from aide support as time permits. Aides should be able to follow the direction of the classroom teacher or Student Services teacher and demonstrate flexibility in response to schedule changes due to student need. Aides are not expected to complete IACSrelated work beyond their contracted hours. Aides are supervised by the Assistant Student Services Director
