Boston Senior Physical Therapist specializing in Pulmonary Physical TherapyMGHoutpatient departmentcurrently has a fulltime opening for a Senior Physical Therapist specializing in pulmonary physical therapy. MGH physical therapists provide care to a predominantly adult population with pulmonary disease as well as those with orthopaedic neurologic vestibular and womens health related dysfunction. This is an excellent opportunity for a physical therapist with proven expertise in the management of patient with obstructive or restrictive lung disease both operative and nonoperative and requires strong independent clinical decision making skills to develop plans of care to meet our patients individual needs.Opportunities exist for frequent physician collaboration to enhance management of the patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary needs. Additionally the pulmonary physical therapists are frequently consulted for assistance in managing a range of patients with airway clearance dysfunction.MGH Outpatient Department holds Bostons only AACVPR certification for its pulmonary rehab program with therapists working together with a team in the care of patients.The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills for multidisciplinary management of patients advanced competencies in pulmonary physical therapy and proven problem solving skills. Requirements: MA license; Minimum 3 years outpatient physical therapy experience. Candidates must be APTA Board Certified in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary or have an agreed upon plan for achieving certification. Massachusetts General Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
