QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in working with children and adults.
- Ability to supervise and develop a rapport with children.
- Ability to write and spell with a degree of accuracy.
- Be familiar with technology.
- Must pass a physical examination prior to commencing duties.
- 24 year college degree is preferable.
REPORTS TO: PRINCIPAL
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will work with identified students to strengthen their knowledge ability and productivity in the core curriculum areas.
- Will follow the students IEP goals and support the special education teachers planning for inclusion and pull out services.
- Will supervise lunch playground small groups and take students to the bus and specials in the event of an emergency situation.
- Will take direction from the teacher(s) and principal.
- Will maintain discipline that supports the teacher and the classroom/building positive behavior system.
- Will support the core curriculum with individual/small group reinforcement instruction.
- Will participate in training as assigned.
- Will maintain ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students experiences and school incidents. Will discuss student concerns with supervising teachers not with parents directly.
- Will assist student in personal hygiene.
- Will do other tasks as assigned by the principal and superintendent.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Days to be scheduled and terms per the master agreement.
The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
