Job Description
Shape the artistic landscape of our exceptional Newham school!
We are seeking a visionary and inspiring leader to become our Head of Art. You will champion creativity lead a talented team and drive excellence in artistic education across all key stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and management for the Art department.
- Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging Art curriculum across Key Stages 35.
- Lead mentor and inspire a team of dedicated Art teachers.
- Foster a vibrant and inclusive artistic environment for all students.
- Manage the department budget and resources effectively.
- Contribute to the wider school leadership team and ethos.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Fine Art or a related subject.
- Significant experience teaching Art at secondary level including leadership experience.
- Proven track record of raising student achievement in Art and leading successful teams.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- A clear vision for outstanding Art education.
