Job Description
Lead the exciting journey of psychological discovery in our exceptional Newham school!
We are seeking a visionary and passionate leader to become our Head of Psychology. You will be instrumental in establishing and developing a thriving Psychology department inspiring students to explore the complexities of the human mind and behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and lead the strategic direction of a new or developing Psychology department.
- Design and implement an engaging and rigorous Psychology curriculum across Key Stages 4 & 5 (GCSE & ALevel).
- Inspire and motivate students to develop a deep understanding of psychological concepts and theories.
- Develop and manage departmental resources effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote interdisciplinary learning.
- Contribute to the wider school leadership and ethos.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in Psychology.
- Significant experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and ALevel.
- Proven ability to develop and implement a successful Psychology curriculum.
- Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
- A passion for making Psychology accessible and engaging for students
