Job Description
This is a remote position.
Senior FullStack Software Engineer
7 years of software engineering experience Required.
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States fulltime. We are not able to sponsor applicants for work visas at this time.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the CTO and engineering team to design and architect new features and products.
Develop and maintain our backend dispatch applications using Ruby on Rails.
Improve and scale our realtime locationbased systems and machine learning dispatch systems.
Work across the stack including building and integrating APIs improving scalability and ensuring performance.
Write clean maintainable code and review and enforce best practices in system design and coding standards.
Preferred Experience
7 years of software engineering experience with a strong background in fullstack development.
Expertise in building highly dynamic web applications in an agile environment.
Proven experience with Ruby on Rails apps RESTful APIs and realtime locationbased systems.
Solid understanding of both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Redis) databases.
Handson experience with telephony apps (e.g. Twilio) is a plus.
Experience with scalability and performance management of largescale systems.
Proficiency with tools like Git Bitbucket Jira and continuous integration (CI) pipelines.
Strong communication skills and ability to lead and mentor other engineers.
