Job Description
Savantage Solutions is seeking finance professionals with statistical auditing expertise to join our professional services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing and financial management with a focus on analytical skills and process improvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Statistical Analysis
- Dashboard Development and Presentations:
- Audit and Compliance Support:
- Utilize statistical methods to select representative samples from designated populations
- Conduct detailed testing of sampled populations comparing internal control performance metrics against established standards
- Establish standards for client review and approval when existing standards are undocumented or need revision
- Assess testing exceptions to determine statistical significance and identify outliers
- Perform trend analysis to uncover patterns anomalies and/or signs of deteriorating control performance
- Provide actionable recommendations for improvement and establish effective monitoring techniques
- Design graphs/charts to visibly represent testing results and trends
- Predict future outcomes based on historical data and implemented corrective actions
- Show trends over time identify anomalies
- Provide recommended corrective action in response to negative trends
- Utilize data from dashboard to create presentations including decision briefs and informational briefs
- Analyze both selfidentified and auditoridentified deficiencies with a focus on corrective action formulation
- Support technical reviews of Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs)
- Draft and/or review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to financial statements
- Facilitate the collection and review of key supporting documentation for Auditors
- Create update and monitor audit response metrics and provide regular updates
- Identify and analyze existing internal control standards to determine weaknesses and deficiencies and recommend mitigating processes and procedures
Knowledge Education/Certifications:
Required:
- Secret Clearance
- 8 years Federal experience in Auditing Financial Management or related field
- Minimum Masters Degree from an accredited college
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- DoD experience
- Understanding of Unliquidated Obligations DoD Receipt and Acceptance (R&A) processes and familiarity with the DoD FMR
Desired:
- CPA CIA CISA CFE CGAP CDFM or CGFM Certification
