Job Description
POSITION: A Polymathic Visionary Educator: Mastery Learning System
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Mastery Learning System faculty member with a passion for science to join our team. Since the pilot launched inwe have continued to develop this experience and are thrilled with the progress weve made: Enrollment has increased steadily and we have continuously refined the program and the tools we use to support student growth. As we look to take the MLS to the next level we remain in startup mode eager for innovative thinkers to join us.
MLS faculty are typically experienced educators with a broad range of knowledge skills and life experiences. In this role you will guide students as they spend 50 of their day in a collaborative open work environment. As an MLS faculty member your main responsibilities will include: 1 acting as a project sponsor providing feedback on student work and 2 working as a lifecoach helping students reflect on their progress and navigate their personal learning journey. Youll also collaborate with a small team of MLS colleagues to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Our team is dedicated to researchdriven practices and is passionate about shaping a program that will shape the landscape of education.
WHAT YOULL DO
As an Mastery Learning System faculty member you will:
- Sponsor individual and group project work helping students navigate the space between where they are and where they want to be
- Conduct regular oneonone (O3 and MLS house meetings tracking individual student progress over time
- Provide thoughtful feedback to students on their work in a timely manner
- Manage a variety of interdisciplinary projects across subjects like science English history and the arts
- Evaluate student final projects in alignment with their project proposal and their learning in the associated Avenues World Elements.
- Collaborate with your MLS colleagues contributing to the development of the MLS program and to related Mastery experiences at the school

Additional Information :
If hired for this position the annual salary range for this position is between $72000 $112433. The salary may vary depending on your experience level and skills.
