Performs the installation repair maintenance calibration and inspection of electrical devices equipment and circuits in the plant. Receives and analyzes wiring diagrams drawings specifications and verbal explanations to determine material or replacement needs and to select proper method or procedure for repair replacement or new installation. Utilizes originality experience and journeyman skills in leading dismantling for inspection adjustment repairing or replacing faulty motors switches control panels circuit breakers control devices batching systems control instrumentation and other plant electrical and electronic equipment including PLC s and VFD s. Plan and perform work requiring thorough knowledge of electrical principles and codes properties of various materials and principles of operation and application of electrical and electronic equipment. Plan and perform work on energized circuits. Measure cut bend and install conduit install fittings switches controls fixtures and wires. Connect all types of electrical equipment for new installations. Plan and perform skilled soldering repairs installation and calibration of thermocouple and pyrometer controlled systems. Maintains safe neat and orderly work area. Perform other related duties as assigned. Must be able to work in a production environment while continuously performing of above essential job functions Adhere to all safe work practices Comply with Environmental and Food Safety standards as set forth in plant policiesprograms within Department responsibilities. Ideal candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be a journeyman electrician. Manufacturingproduction electrical experience desired. Ability to work day or night shift. Must be able to standwalk for eight hours per day requires pushpull up to 75 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with team members. Environment and Physical Requirements This is an Hourly position in a union environment. Must be able to work in extreme hot temperatures.
