JOB TITLE: Educational Assistant Special Needs 37.5 hours per week 7.5 hours per day average)
REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Classroom Teacher
JOB SUMMARY: To assist classroom teachers with individual and/or small group learning in special and general education classrooms and provide student supervision as needed. Staff will be asked to support students with a variety of needs which could include academic social functional and behavioral supports. A primary focus is the establishment of a positive learning environment that promotes a high level of achievement and inclusion for all students. Full job description available upon request.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Works a school year calendar approximately 183 days at FTE 0.9375. Based on current OSEA salary schedule and negotiated agreement salary (code 8 starting $16.77/hr. $19.37/hr. with excellent benefits including Medical Dental and Vision insurance and Oregon state retirement.
