Overview
Join Featherstone Senior Living a brand new community set to open on September 1st in Iowa City. At Featherstone we prioritize the wellbeing of our residents by offering a lifestyle focused on health heart and soul.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Sanitation Maintenance:
- Ensure proper sanitation of dishware glassware flatware utensils pots pans and minor/major kitchen equipment.
- Maintain a sanitary and clean working environment.
- Assist in deep cleaning of the kitchen and equipment.
Operational Efficiency:
- Operate the warewashing machine in a safe and efficient manner according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Oversee and monitor warewashing machine detergent rinse additives and sanitizer levels to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation.
Quality Control:
- Remove any broken or damaged dishware glassware flatware utensils pots or pans from service rotation.
- Empty refuse bins and break down boxes.
Inventory Management:
- Check in and put away any food or nonfood deliveries.
- Adhere to FIFO (First In First Out) guidelines and ensure all food items are properly stored labeled and dated.
Attendance and Participation:
- Attend all required department/community meetings inservices or trainings.
Relationship Building:
- Build positive relationships with residents employees and coworkers.
Adherence to Policies:
- Adhere to and follow all company policies and procedures.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
