Description

SBG Technology Solutions Inc. (SBG) a division of DSS Inc. provides innovative solutions in Systems Engineering Enterprise Modernization Artificial Intelligence Cyber Security and IT Governance to federal and commercial clients nationwide.

As a Solutions Architect the ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming technology into opportunities with a focus on driving successful Capture and Proposal development. This includes creating proposal artifacts leading matrixed technical and management teams and leveraging significant experience in developing proposals for Federal Government and DoD customers. The Solutions Architect will assess clients business challenges identify technology and process solutions and communicate these innovations in proposals and briefings to both the SBG team and clients. The position requires a hardworking individual capable of excelling in a fastpaced government contractor environment.

Responsibilities:


The Solutions Architect will:

  • Analyze RFP requirements instructions and evaluation criteria and develop responsive innovative solutions including staffing and other costs; review solutions developed by others; andpresent solutions to internal and external clients.
  • Provide early customer engagement support to understand customer requirements determine technical solution priorities pain points vet solution alternatives and shape the acquisition.
  • Influence technical requirements; coordinate/develop technical white papers; support customer calls; develop RFI/SSN responses.
  • Work with the Capture Manager program Manager (and Pricing) to develop solutions iteratively (including technical management transition andcost/estimation) in accordance with the Solution Development Approach.
  • Review iterative solution approaches with the leadership team and subject matter experts; conduct iterative solution health assessments; and include the solutions voice in Gate reviews (Strategy Bid etc..
  • Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and propose changes and tailoring where needed to ensure that SBG proposed efficient and effective solutions that meet customer objectives.
  • Make decisions regarding staff assignments follow up with individual solution architects and experts who develop solutions and manage the of a smallto mediumsized team of employees.
  • Develop technical operational and staffing solution approaches to customer needs and challenges. Present technical solutions and concepts to customers internal executives and stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends and share this understanding with internal and external stakeholders
  • Reduce complex integrated technical and operational solutions to easytounderstand graphics for use in briefings and proposals
  • Participate in business growth pursuits collaborating in brainstorming sessions reviewing proposal sections and envisioning alternative technical solutions to support client goals

Essential Duties include:

  • Lead the design of the technical management and transition story and artifacts needed to sell the solution through our proposal best.
  • Manage delivery of the Technical Management and Transition Volumes through all color review stages (including recovery).
  • Identify where essential personnel/roles are needed to meet solicitation requirements and differentiate.
  • Translate solutions into effective business proposals. Evaluate and quickly identify issues gaps and make recommendations.
  • Work effectively with Project and Program leaders to analyze system architectures.
  • Use leadership qualities to drive the technical effort across the various teams and make recommendations on critical issues under pressure.
  • Develop technical proposal sections (written and graphical) by assembling information to meet requirements. Edit presentations and proposal content for clarity and consistency
  • Lead solution design and the development of key artifacts including but not limited to architectural models process diagrams concepts of operation staffing plans etc.
  • Collaborate with SBG lines of business to identify and bring the best technical and business strategies and solutions to differentiate SBG.
  • Contribute to teaming strategies including identifying and vetting potential partners.
  • Lead development of BOEs/LOEs in coordination with Pricing Lead.
  • Ensure alignment with win strategy and PTW and document assumptions.
  • Ensure the proposed solution is consistent with the customers architectural direction and satisfies requirements complianceevaluation criteria and PTW.
  • Apply experience to craft and develop customerfocused solutions in:
  • The software development lifecycle
  • The domain of the application and platform risk analysis dependencies decision analysis skills and full understanding of the most common SDLCs
  • Information Technology/Information Systems (IT/IS) domains
  • Deliverablesbased management to focus on the delivery of solutions that meet or exceed the customers needs

Individuals working for SBG Technology Solutions Inc a DSS Inc. will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA FedRAMP and NIST 80053. Additionally they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the daytoday performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are considered to be in the highrisk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modify data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Qualifications

Skills:

Required:

  • 10 years experience in Federal IT and/or healthfocused federal agencies such as VHA DHA MHS IHS CMS and NIH.
  • 7 years of experience as a Solutions Architect or similar role in federal government legacy systems
  • Wellversed in disciplines that contribute to systems engineering and possess strong skills in analysis and solution synthesis.
  • Strong effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direct management.
  • Ability to identify prioritize and execute tasks to meet project deadlines

Desired:

  • Ability to successfully lead solution development and technical proposal volumes for large scale (Up to $100M) opportunities.
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative fastpaced growthfocused environment.
  • Ability to motivate teams to perform exceptionally over long stretches of time (during capture) and in challenging situations (during proposal development).

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or related field. In lieu of degree 15 years of IT experience and domain expertise in one or more of the following areas Cloud Cybersecurity Software or Enterprise IT.

Years of experience in a similar role:

  • 7 years experience in Federal IT and/or healthfocused federal agencies such as VHA DHA MHS IHS CMS and NIH.
