The Accounting Lead performs general accounting activities including the preparation maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets profitandloss statements and capital expenditure schedules. Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects. The Accounting Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

The Accounting Lead prepares records analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Provides financial support including forecasting budgeting and analyzing variations from budget. Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts financial statements and reports. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks and works under minimal supervision uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

• Review and prepare financial data transactions and reports including adhoc data requests for executive leadership

• Partner with other areas across the organization to ensure accurate reporting of our financials

• Review monthly close and approved journal entries

• Develop methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing financial data and preparing complex analyses

• Analyze payer agnostic medical data for trends and financial impact

• Present markets with monthly financial performance and trend insights

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or a related field

5 years with general accounting/monthly close process

2 or more years of leadership experience

Excel proficiency

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in business administration

Certified Public Accountant license

Prior experience within the healthcare industry

SQL and Essbase

Healthcare financial statements

Healthcare claims reserving and development

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time 40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills knowledge experience education certifications etc.
