Job Description
The Opportunity
AgeCare is seeking an experienced and dynamic Occupational Therapist to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Director the Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of function and adaptive behaviour and the treatment and prevention of disorders which affect function or adaptive behaviour to develop maintain rehabilitate or augment function of adaptive behaviour in the areas of selfcare productivity and leisure.

What You Will Do
Conduct assessments develop personalized treatment plans and set clear therapeutic goals in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Facilitate therapeutic programs tailored to residents needs ensuring participation and goal achievement.
Monitor progress adjust care plans as needed and maintain accurate timely records of therapy services.
Deliver safe competent care aligned with professional standards promoting health comfort and dignity for residents.
Provide guidance to team members contribute to staff and student development and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Stay updated on best practices and maintain licensure in accordance with regulatory requirements.
What You Bring
An Occupational Therapist in good standing with the applicable provincial regulatory board and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
Knowledge of computer applications preferred.
Excellent organizational skills required; minimum of two years of geriatric clinical experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal verbal and written skills with Resident/families and staff required.
Ability to work independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team required.
Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.
