Salary : 13.39 14.90 per hour/depending on experience

The Lindsay is a care home offering nursing residential dementia and palliative care. Short stays and day care are offered to help both carers and their elderly loved ones at times when they need a break or a little extra support.
The Lindsay is situated a few minutes from the centre of Westbourne and all its amenities shops cafes restaurants and pubs. The home has a cinema and caf as well as lounges a library and private dining areas for family and friends to come and enjoy when visiting their loved ones or celebrating a birthday or anniversary together.
This home also benefits from an onsite beauty salon with a fulltime hairdresser offering a brilliant service to all the residents.
At The Lindsay staff take great care to focus on the person. Its important for residents to feel at home so it creates a friendly environment with an individually appropriate balance of care and independence.
The chefs create wellcrafted menus made with the freshest ingredients. Soon after a resident arrives at The Lindsay staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them

We are looking for an equally passionate Assistant Chef to join the team and help create and deliver an excellent dining experience for our residents.
Youll help us make health happen by:
- Using your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied and nutritional menus in line with dietary needs and preferences of our residents
- Putting forward ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience helping our residents to feel at home
- Training and managing the kitchen team in prepping cooking and serving of food
- Adhering to COSHH and HACCP guidelines company policies and procedures budgets managing orders and deliveries
- Catering for special events or seasonal activities such as summer fetes Christmas parties and birthdays (as required)
