Job Description

JOB GOAL:The Beyond the Bell Reading Specialist is responsible for literacy screening and diagnostic literacy assessments to plan and implement comprehensive and intensive interventions that will support the literacy needs of students in the Beyond the Bell program summer program.Our program will run Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 3:30pm July 7 to July 31Job Responsibilities:The Reading Specialist will perform a wide variety of specialized and Multisensory Structured Literacy tasks to support identified struggling students beyond tier one core ELA instruction. It is expected that researched based instructional and intervention practices will be implemented and based on the knowledge and practices of the Science of Reading and Structured Literacy. The Reading Specialist will ensure student assessments goals and progress monitoring is maintained on personal literacy plans. Encourage literacy and lifelong learning. Maintain and promptly submit accurate complete and correct records and reports as required by law by grant regulations by district policy and by administrative directives. Perform other duties as assigned.
