Job Description
Deluxe is a trusted technologyenabled solutions provider for enterprises small businesses and financial institutions offering a range of solutions to help customers manage and grow their businesses. Approximately 4.8 million small business customers access Deluxes wide range of products and services including incorporation services logo design website development and hosting email marketing social media search engine optimization and payroll services along with customized checks and forms. For our approximately 4600 financial institution customers Deluxe offers industryleading programs in data analytics customer acquisition and treasury management solutions fraud prevention and profitability solutions as well as checks. Deluxe is also a leading provider of checks and accessories sold directly to consumers.
We are seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineering Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing implementing and managing data engineering solutions on the AWS platform. The primary responsibility of this role is to architect scalable reliable and highperformance data pipelines and analytics systems leveraging AWS services.
Responsibilities:
- Design architect and implement endtoend data engineering solutions on the AWS platform.
- Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines to ingest process and analyze large volumes of data from various sources.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including data scientists business analysts and software engineers to understand data requirements and design appropriate solutions.
- Implement best practices for data governance security and compliance in alignment with industry standards and regulations.
- Optimize data storage processing and retrieval mechanisms for performance and costefficiency.
- Automate deployment monitoring and maintenance tasks using AWS services such as AWS Glue AWS Lambda Amazon EMR etc.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data processing workflows to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Stay uptodate with the latest AWS technologies and trends in data engineering and analytics.
Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer Data Architect or similar role with a focus on AWS technologies.
- Indepth knowledge of AWS services such as S3 Glue EMR Redshift Athena Kinesis etc.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python Scala or Java.
- Handson experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark Apache Hadoop etc.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Excellent problemsolving and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment.
Basic Qualifications (BQs)
Education and Experience: Bachelors degree and 5 years of related experience or high school diploma/GED and 9 years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
Education and Experience: Bachelors degree and12years of related experience
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Big Data Specialty certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts is a plus.
