Job Description
We are looking to hire energetic floor techs in the St. Louis area to keep our clients floors clean. The floor tech will be responsible for the maintenance of all floor areas and for sustaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation. You will remove spots from carpets perform bonnet and extraction carpet cleaning dispose of trash and assist with hazardous waste collection. You will operate floor sweepers buffers strippers canister vacuum cleaners and shop vacuums. Minor painting experience is preferred but not required for occasional project work as well. You will wear adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals and equipment. Applicants must have a reliable vehicle as you will not always work at the same location and wont be able to rely on public transportation. Applicants must be willing to work nights and/or weekends as this is when facilities are the least busy. Schedule is 3:00 pm 11:00 pm.
To be successful in this role you will be mindful of slip trip and fall hazards. Preferred candidates are motivated meticulous and able to work with numerous interruptions.
Pay is $20.00 plus depending on experience.
Floor Tech Responsibilities:
- Cleaning offices hallways common areas and other areas.
- Moving furniture before and after cleaning.
- Cleaning dusting mopping stripping and waxing floors.
- Measuring chemicals correctly.
- Operating chemical dispensing units.
- Labeling chemicals correctly.
- Cleaning maintaining and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.
- Keeping an inventory of floor areas and scheduling cleaning and maintenance duties.
- Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.
- Assisting with the hazardous waste collection as requested by the supervisor.
- High school diploma GED or suitable equivalent preferred.
- Floor maintenance experience preferred.
- Minor painting experience preferred.
- Completion of onthejob training.
- Undeterred by exposure to hazardous chemicals bodily fluids and communicable and infectious diseases.
- Resilient to noise.
- Physically agile.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Dependable transportation and able to work all shifts as needed by the customer to complete floors.
- Willingness to work nights and/or weekends.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen.
