Job Description

Job Summary: This ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in providing a clean organized work environment for students and staff members. If you would like to be a part of a team that enjoys working together in a positive climate and culture we would love to hear from you.

Essential Functions:

Keeps building and property in clean and orderly condition.
Performs routine maintenance activities.
Performs light to moderate cleaning duties.
Sweeps mops scrubs or vacuums floors.
Gathers and empties trash.
Scrubs sanitizes and supplies restroom facilities.
Dusts furniture walls and equipment.
Cleans windows mirrors and partitions with soap and other cleansers.
Manages inventory of cleaning supplies.
Notifies administration regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures
Ability to stand walk and bend for many hours
Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time
Experience with using cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners floor buffers and cleaning solutions
Communication skills

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee with or without reasonable accommodation to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Employees are regularly required to communicate verbally and in writing. Standing and sitting for significant periods is also required. Walking and reaching is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Most work is performed indoors with occasional outdoor work required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
