Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Technician join our Ranson WV factory. This position will work a 12hour 6PM to 6AM 223 schedule.

Your future team:

Quality Technicians are responsible for performing ROCKWOOL standard tests on our products and process parameters to ensure adequate control of the production process. As the frontline auditors of our products on the production line you will confirm product quality before delivery to our customers and conduct additional testing on any returned materials for root cause analysis. Maintaining high standards is crucial for reducing errors and customer complaints which in turn lowers costs. Our Quality Technicians uphold these standards by promptly communicating with key stakeholders to adjust production parameters and ensure our products meet specifications.

What you will be doing:

  • Utilize specialized lab equipment to perform tests on products in production following specified test methods.
  • Report testing results through Rockwools platforms including SAP Microsoft programs and the Quality Database
  • Prioritize testing according to the schedule to provide critical information promptly for any necessary production corrections.

  • Inform supervisors and operators of quality results that require immediate action for product or process corrections.

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in quality assurance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office required.
  • Strong basic math skills needed for problemsolving and data analysis.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a collaborative environment required.
  • Grow and develop the team by training new hires and sharing knowledge and experience.
