We are YSS!

YSS is seeking an enthusiastic caring and fun Kids Club Preschool Lead Staff!
The Kids Club Preschool Lead Staff will be responsible for the daytoday operation planning scheduling and programming for before and after school services at our United location. Program target population are students that are currently in the Preschool program at United School District 3 to 5 years of age). Summer programming is included along with no school days holiday breaks and teacher inservice days. This person will coordinate activities with other staff and volunteers to assure maximum amount of supervision. The Lead Staff is also responsible for working with the Site Supervisor help make the experience worthwhile safe and educational for the volunteers staff and participants.
  • Implement daytoday operations of the Kids Club program at the United location.
  • Performs teaching duties on a daily basis as assigned. Assists in planning field trips.
  • Works with Site Supervisor in planning summer programs.
  • Handles daytoday routine matters.
  • Supervises and schedules onsite staff. Finds subs when necessary.
  • Works five additional hours per week outside of program time to plan and complete administrative tasks. This time may fluctuate week to week depending on early outs and no school days.
  • Directly supervises children in the Kids Club program and coordinates with community resources to provide recreational and educational activities for participants.
  • Meets with Site Supervisor weekly for guidance.
  • Handles the planning and implementation of activities for regular days and full program days of the Kids Club program which focus on meeting goals and objectives for each group.
  • Greets parents with courtesy fields questions and collects and records tuition payments.
  • Helps create the menu prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
  • Insures that children check in and check out of the Kids Club program and that only authorized parents/guardians pick up children.
  • Plans and provides allday programming for full schoollength days during the school year when the teachers have an inservice day.
  • Completes incident reports as necessary.
  • Observes discipline policy records participant behavior keeps up files.
  • Provides summer programming as scheduled.
  • Administers assessments to participating children.

MUST HAVES Required Qualifications
  • Must meet the requirements for certification in childcare including a background in child development or child and family services.
  • One year of related experience.
SHOULD HAVES Preferred Qualifications
  • An Associates or Bachelors degree in child development education or related field.
  • Experience directing/monitoring the work of others preferably asa teacher andsupervisor
  • A oneyear commitment to the position is preferred.
  • Knowledge of recreational and educational needs of childrenand the ability to organize related group activities.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and nonverbally with excellent observational listening speaking and writing skills.
  • Ability to collaborate and able to work effectively with others regardless of backgrounds identities and status.
The IDEAL Candidate:
  • Speaks a language other than English.
