Minimum Education
Bachelors degree (BSN) Preferred X Required
Masters degree (MSN) X Preferred Required
Degree in Nursing or other related field of study
Minimum Work Experience
Required 5 years of experience in healthcare field.

Current Virginia State RN license
American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS)

The Staff Educator develops and implements staff educational programs to promote competency of staff. This position entails curriculum and program development facilitation of education offerings evaluation of programs and outcome measurement.
- Partner with unitbased Director or Manager to successfully onboard new hires with regard to education and skills.
- Acting as a consultant by conducting needs assessments and assists with development of education plans for departments. Participates in planning implementing and evaluating competency validation programs.
- Facilitates with the coordination of the student experience program the American Heart Association program for lifesaving certifications the simulation program the continuing education approved provider program and the new graduate and residency programs.
- Oversees clinical orientation for all new hires agency etc. Coordinates logistics with specific presenters.
